HOARD THE FORTUNE.

Our daily activities revolves around survival, strive for success & luxury and different ambitions.  Everyday is another opportunity for us to get closer to achieving our dreams and desire whether they are resourceful or destructive, greedy or selfless, socially accepted or illegal. As strange as it may seem, our dreams are achieved by direct or indirect intervention of others which could be in form of exploration or mutualism.
No one succeeds by their actions but this may be debatable because we believe we put in all the work and that's why we succeeded. Without people acknowledging our "hard work " , patronising and recommending them for implementation, production and consumption,  we can not achieve the success we desire. Whether it is an idea, plan or product, we need other people to see the benefit of it and want to use it or pay for it.
The term exploitation only comes to play when we feel cheated but we see people exerting more energy and resources for us as being smart and wise. Goals and actions are driven towards achieving wealth, fame, recognition and sense of accomplishment . We may not mind doubling the price of our commodity and services when we see the demand for it is growing but will get furious when we feel someone is trying to make us pay exorbitant fees for a  service that don't cost us as much. It is business when we are getting cheap labour and high income but exploitation when we have to pay for a service that shouldn't cost more.
Taking advantage of people's ignorance, social status and transparency for our gains isn't uncommon. The desire for power and wealth is sometimes overwhelming that naive people are seen as opportunity to amass wealth. Our humanity withers away at the thought of being at the peak of the social heriachy but we forget we need each other for our plan whether beneficial or disruptive to succeed.
We fell trees without replacing them forgetting we their shade , end product, oxygen and protection against harsh winds. We promote discrimination and genocide of other people forgetting that despite their diverse religion, skin pigmentation and beliefs, they have a role to play in our development ,peace and success .we hunt down wild animals for sport forgetting they are part of the ecosystem that sustains us.
The cost of a product or service depends on the business owners, regulatory board and demand for it. Violating other's Human Rights for our gain is where we need to draw  the line. Employing cheap labor with long hours of hard work for stipends in an organisation that earn millions is repulsive by some people's standard and being a good business person by some other people's standards. What is right and wrong is an endless hassle with our interest as priority.
Humanitarian acts also involves people giving out of the excess or little we have which may be convenient or depriving. There are people who still find a business opportunity in selling the supplies and relief materials given to people in needs. Exploitation have varying perspective depending on our principles, beliefs, culture and social status.
Whatever our products or ideas ars we should always reevaluate the effect on well-being of others, peace, human rights, social development and our well being too. We may exploit others directly or indirectly because we need people to appreciate our efforts, implement them as necessary, gain wealth and societal recognition.
Using beliefs, culture, laws and religion as a guide to draw the line between survival and exploitation seems to be the only which is still inconsistent. What is exploitation to you?

THE ENSLAVING FREEDOM.

The media is abuzz with a lot of injustice, oppressions and other information being disseminated to the public. People are taking sides on what should be right and wrong, while others are indifferent about any changes around them. We are in the era of revolutions and fight for justice, a time where people speak out or find compassionate people to do so on their behalf. Freedom is now more accessible but it has slowly become our doom and limitations.
Recently, people have become more aware of the normalized oppression they have been subjected to and everyone is fighting back the system that enforces this unforgivable act. The more freedom we get, the more we still crave that it has become a drug of dependence that resists any rehabilitation.
Drawing the line between freedom and insensitivity is almost impossible to achieve. Even if we build walls as high as the heavens around our cities to keep the different ones amongst us, it still won’t stop people from demanding a right to something we find repulsive, selfish, out-of-the-norm or absurd. The complexity of the human mind has made it impossible for us to want the same things and choose to see things in the same light.
In the course of our everyday activities, we desire new things and achievements that we set our minds to or work towards achieving. When we face a limitation in achieving what we want, we begin to think of ways to overcome the challenge which may include desiring the thing restricting us. From this moment of limitation, we begin to crave authority over what we perceive as a restriction hence the desire for freedom is ignited.
The freedom of a group becomes the shackles and discomfort to another group but we don’t really care about that because our life is a survival of the fittest and the privileged. The struggle for freedom has been a tug of war between human rights and moral guide, the desire to allow people have their freedom to be the best they can be and the moral value of it not offending another social group is the origin of a lot of unending feud and discriminations.
Freedom is a beautiful feeling that may even bring one to euphoria, hence it is addictive. How far are we willing to go to achieve a life without restrictions to anything that crosses our minds? We are all different after all, so why should we still let the society dictate what is right and wrong to us? Is there such a thing as too much freedom? Are moral and religious guidelines necessary in defining freedom in this era?
Our diversity, ambition, principles, beliefs, culture and religion have an undeniable role to play in how we live “our” lives. Even the liberal ones amongst us who claim to live with no restrictions and principles, fail to realize that decision alone is a principle itself as well as the moral guide that influence actions. Even if we have an open discussion on what should be legal or illegal, we can never eliminate all the injustice of the world because of our endless needs. Reaching a compromise is the best we can do on enforcing the law without consideration for those who may feel restricted and repulsed at the society indulgence of such right.
Even in hate and discrimination there is tolerance and compromise. The ability to meet up with people who share resentful views as you, reach an agreement on how to invoke chaos and execute the evil plan is enough to show even the worst among us is capable of tolerating others. We need to open our mind to the diversity around us. Diversity is the reason for our growth and development as a race and whether we admit it or not, most of the privileges we enjoy are as a result of diversity, hard work or exploitation of some other social group.
Embracing diversity, love and tolerance doesn’t necessarily make us become who we despise. Learning to respect others and treating them the same way we would like to be treated doesn’t make us less human, it only improves our chances of survival because we learn new ways and views on how to achieve our dreams and attain self-accomplishment. Tolerance, love and dialogue are the only way and everyone is capable of embracing these qualities. We are born into the societal unit called family who learn to love, care for and tolerate us. When the family isn’t capable of giving us all these, we seek companionship and survival in friendship and other associations where we indulge in a symbiotic or parasitic relationship with other people.
Desires that may harm another social group or cause loss to their lives and properties should be reevaluated. We truly have our own lives to live as an individual but our actions have an interwoven consequence to us and people around us. Some revolutions have yielded freedom to an oppressed social group whose freedom was a “threat” to another social group while other revolutions have the same devastating effect on different culture, religion and people.
Freedom is mostly subjective because we are sometimes too greedy and biased about our comfort to realize we are oppressing other people. The desire for freedom is insatiable from birth to death, we will always desire dominance over everything around us.
Everyone has a personal desire and differing perspective about things that even identical twins can’t share. Dialogue and tolerance is the only solution and solace we can get in this world of chaos and discriminations. Tolerance is the only true freedom people underestimate and obfuscate. We are selfish beings who desire to be at the top of the food chain and in control of all the elements around us, the terms some of us refer to as SUCCESSS and POWER.
Defining freedom is a heinous task that will keep make us turn in circles. As we grow and develop as a society, we wanting more and it is a continuous cycle that tests our resilience. Dialogue is the only way we can discuss and detect the freedom that liberates and destroys us.
Kindness, love and tolerance, dialogue and embracing positive change is a practice we can use to keep freedom from limiting and leading us to destruction. Our individual uniqueness and ability to adapt to situations is what defines us as humans; a race with diversity due to topography, climate, skin pigmentation, culture and beliefs that must unite to develop.

THE LION REWRITES THE TALE.

We glorify the hunter whom we perceive as courageous and wise for his bravery in hunting large and small animals. We admire his confidence in bringing down the fiercest of predators with his tools, craft and disguise. We fail to realize that we are like animals in their wild habitat, the government and other powerful bodies are our hunters with all tools, agenda and strategy.
The tale of bravery has glorified the hunter, making the lion seem like a cruel abomination that must be eliminated on sight. What differentiates the hunter from the untamed beast? Is cohabitation negotiable? Are we Just in the same peak level of food chain, so eliminating and looting the competition is the only way to retain our top spot?
The hunter may be driven by ambition, desire for safety for his own kind or family obligations. He seeks out the lion in its habitat, lure it with juicy promises, ambush it and strike it down either in multitude or on its own. When the lion is no longer there to defend it's family, the cubs are stolen under the guise of protection to be groomed to the hunter's preference and needs. The lioness is whisked away by any means which may include violence, coercion and ambush to forcefully reproduce by the male chosen by the hunter and new handlers in exchange for food and life. This is a regular routine for the hunter and the beginning of the end for the lion.
Slavery is re-branded and introduced to the remaining members of the pride of lions. Regulations are set on the habitat for the lions as there may not be any visible shackles but they are confined to an area where they must not wander from else they become threats that must be annihilated on sight because they are savages that don't fit into our society. The lion has all the land with all the resources but is still at the mercy of the hunter for it's needs.
Slowly the lion loses its pride, it's food is prepared to the hunter's and his people's preference. With time the lion learns that it's roar of discomfort only means more misery for it. The lion finally learns to be quiet and accept all that comes because the scale of justice is permanently tilted to the hunter's side.
Fighting for the rights of the lion brands the activists as irrational, nuisance and ignorant. When the lion kills or fight in defense to its life and family it is cruel but when the society does so, it's self defense and community service. The lion is tired and wants to go back to its habitat of peace and equity but it's too late because the hunter and his people have stolen from his land and it's resources and will only allocate a portion depending on the lion's ability and value.

LET'S BUY CHAOS

Beating the drums of war and sowing the seed of discord may seem so easy because the drummers and feud plotter will be prepared and may not need to dance to the gruesome tune of chaos, death, loss and immense sorrow it brings. The ones agitating for disunity may seem menacing yet they are the weakest who unleash the beast that they can feed but can’t allow contact with.
The carnage, bloodshed, human violation and discriminations that disagreements bring seem unreasonable to us but shouldn’t we also not overlook the weapons manufacturers’ contribution to the cruelty against humanity. A lot of relationships are defined by common interest, material gains amongst others. The influence of others action on events around us may become a determinant in what make us seek an alliance with other people.
Conflicts, wars and homicide has become a regular component of the news these days , there are people who just want it to end peacefully without hurting innocent people and there are also people who are indifferent about who it affects if doesn’t affect their activities of daily living. As indifferent as we may try to be, one need to analyse the gains & damage conflict may bring and this is usually the basis on which allies and foes are made.
Openly pledging ammunition and humanitarian support isn’t a new thing to see and disturbingly, the offenders usually have access to the most sophisticated weapons. Weapon acquisition and wars tend to bring up questions of people living off the expense used to fund wars. External support may save lives and bring stability if all resources are effectively directed at the armed rebels and the law violators but this is usually almost impossible.
A country may write up volumes upon volumes of reasons why their economy isn’t flourishing, why unemployment is still rampant, how funds is not sufficient for  some infrastructural needs and this same country pledge money , supply expensive weapons and manpower to a war. Providing support to war-stricken zones may seem like a good thing and at the same time in the wrong hands, it could have a devastating effect on the lives of people in contact.
Activism and education is not enough to tear people away from the grasp of cruelty, oppression and crime they have embraced and what to indulge in. being an activist is not enough to prepare one for the implications of some actions because change is after all a constant concept..
The human mind is our doom and solution. The ability to decide what is right and wrong is our guide and destruction. Our individual uniqueness makes us see the concept of fairness in different ways and daily we become self aware to the injustice we have endured and rise in action to stop it. As independent as we may claim to be, we rely on events, action of others to influence our decision making and thinking. Analysing different concept of life will make us realise that what is right and wrong is often dictated by the significance, people involved, the environment, and resources available.
Media manipulation is often cited as a great influence in human development and political stability of the people. Humans rely on communication with people and the environment for survival. Even the cruelest of minds desires the freedom to do whatever they wish without fear of conviction from the law and people. Knowing our reliance on communication to make decision about lifestyle, spirituality, cultural values and patriotism, there have been indications of media and  communication mediums being used to spread false news as well as deliberating obfuscating  stories that require prompt actions and awareness of the populace.
Self-awareness and evaluation is the only way out in this interconnected maze of madness and cruelty. Developing a sense of obligation towards humanity is a big step in achieving world peace. Reflection is necessary to make us fully understand the effect of our action on ourselves and others. Our survival instinct and desire to be on the top of the food chain shouldn’t overshadow our logical reasoning.
The world isn’t out of need for innovation, inventions and ideas so igniting wars and discord shouldn’t be an option to acquire wealth. We should channel that overwhelming passion into something productive and helpful to mankind and there will always be people willing to pay whatever exorbitant price we demand for our services.
Wars may seem inevitable but human life is irreplaceable so let us pool our funds and man power into safely evacuating people from their despair, providing them with all the security, physical and psychological needs they may have without discriminating against them. Providing help only based on what people have to offer is not wise since everyone has a role to play in our development, history and achievements.
Those mindlessly raining weapon on war stricken people rather than the masterminds behind it are even scarier than the war lord himself. Providing military support to the helpless civilians is a good thing and the media providing accurate, unbiased information about the progress of a situation is a better thing.
Open your mind, embrace the diversity around because the target may shift and you will need the actions and contribution of those whom you detest so much. As one problem is solved, another will arise because of our evolvement.
The world is not a monotonous place filled with people with the same colour, height, values, beliefs and genetic traits so we should realise that effective communication and consideration is vital for our survival.

YOUR PAIN IS MY HAPPINESS.

It is not uncommon to enjoy a joke and also not a rare sight to have people who are offended by it. Our racial diversity, knowledge, educational background, age, beliefs usually take the blame for our insensitivity but this is sometimes a diversion to obfuscate our wrongdoings or just the bitter truth. Can body-shaming ,cyber bullying, racial discrimination, gender oppression and other situations that cause us grief be totally eradicated? The answer leans more to "NO".
Watching others suffer and making others feel miserable seem to take away some of our pain.  We use people's pain and shame as point of reference for self-righteousness, why we should be grateful and optimistic about life.  We see no wrong in using offensive words on people whose wrongdoings has been exposed even when we commit atrocities in hidden or open.
Using people's pain, humiliation and anguish as a yardstick for our emotional intelligence, self-development may seem like a cruel thing but in the end it is a defence mechanism to urge us to keep living. When we stop using people's dilemma to help us move on from our pain and disappointments, we may gradually lose the drive to keep moving forward.
People's pain may not necessarily be a yardstick to rate all set of achievement for us, it may be the one that open our eyes to our dreams and aspirations. When we identify a societal problem, vice and need, it may spur us on to attempt to provide solutions to the problem the society is entangled in. People's insecurities may make us identify our role to play in eradicating the problem and thus aspirations are born and fueled by desire to alleviate the suffering of humanity and bring peace.
Drawing the line between mockery and problem solving is the slippery path most people lose themselves to. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, we should endeavour not to infringe on the rights of others, we should not be too uptight and stiff in our actions. Flexibility and compromise may be the prerequisite to the stability we seek. Being considerate and kind to others is certainly an attribute we all need to attain.
What may seem like mockery to us may actually be the sensitisation we need to work on ourselves but our change-resistant minds may be too biased to see it. We get agitated about words, actions that even earn us sympathisers who share our views, but in the end we are the ones who need to open our minds and be more open to new ideas, innovations and inventions if we are to develop ourselves, attain success and emotional intelligence.
Little act of kindness in words and actions may seem like an alluring idea but it is never enough. Societal development and self development may only be achieved through controversial decisions. Loving your body and personality is a beautiful thing but quickly turns sour when it impedes with our health in form of obesity, bigotry and undernourishment . Culture may seem like a beautiful thing until it harness emotional instability, health emergencies and kill dreams from practices such as female genital mutilation, child marriages and male child preference.  In situations like this jokes and harsh criticism may seem like a witch-hunt but in the end, it is the awakening we need even if some people feed off the chaos the situation brings for material gain when people try to show us our erroneous and destructive beliefs.
Our fears sometimes blinds us from facts and make us victimise people just because we have people who support us. Our fearful heart pushes us beyond reasoning till we don't realise that we have that we have become cruel oppressors while trying to liberate people forcefully from we perceive as bondage. The fact that change is inevitable should be a guide for our actions . Forcing people into accepting our ideas and innovations can be disastrous but showing people the benefit of our ideas and innovations which has been tailored to suit their geographical topography and lifestyle needs may seem like a better plan.
Learning to channel our thoughts politely is very essential. The media is an important tool in attaining peace if controlled by the right people. Insecurities can never vanish but can be placated so it is important we know how to channel our ideas and actions without infringement on the rights of others.
The world is a connected place so it is important we learn good communication and cohabitation skills if we are to achieve our dreams and achieve any societal development.

THE DRIVE.

Success and achievements often come with questions, opposition and a lot of reaction from people around us. Whether we desire immense wealth and happiness or not, it is not uncommon for people to have set standards of achievements they perceive to be signs of living a good life. Our needs are often influenced by our geographical region, educational system, culture, values and personal goals. In the end all our motivation is centered around money and it's equivalent because we need it to pay for our development, survival and to achieve our dreams.
Money being the source of our motivation is very debatable but can't be ignored because we truly need it and it's equivalent to build our shelter, buy clothes ,attend schools, feed, acquire gadgets and other things we value for our survival. The debatable part comes when we realise that adaptation and our survival instincts is what influence our actions. We may desire comfort, luxury, good health and other things but getting this things may be impossible without the drive to adapt to situations around us and lack of zeal to live.
Trying to figure out if money or the desire to live is our motivation is very controversial and makes us dizzy with confusion if we continue to dwell on it. The cruel and delinquent ones among us try to live life trying to make things work out for them by damning the consequence while the law abiding and humane ones among us try to live according to societal laws to acquire more material things to make living standards better.
Some people's existence is centered around trying to make life better for others through their innovation, inventions and ideas which may be driven by desire for wealth or service to humanity. People often feel a strong motivation within to express their true selves and desire which often leads to their breakthrough in whatever field they have chosen but this often comes with a price. No matter how benevolent a person is, resources will still be required to replicate the trend, invention, innovation and and to implement an idea a person has come up with.
Good and evil thrive today because there are both human and material resources for them to use in replicating their ideas, inventions and innovations. The human mind is comes after all while some seek to survive while adapting to the rules of humanity and kindness, others seek to survive and dominate everything even if it means watching the world burn.
What distinguishes our drive is our consideration for others in attaining what we want. The world is in disarray because our survival instincts has been mutated by our selfish desire to be on top of the success chain.
When we are born, our families learn to love us and guide us throughout growth years based on their ideas, values and principles. This love may often not manifest when our family find our existence a threat to their survival, or a threat to achieving their ambitions. Whether or not we receive the attention, love and material support we need from our family and close allies, we would need to attain our unique adaptation and communication skill to interact with others.
Whatever our dreams , goals and aspirations may be, we still need others who see things in  similar and different perspective as us to achieve whatever good or evil we desire. We will get closer to achieving world peace and development when we let our drive become fueled by desire survive together since our diversity is what makes us unique and brings about the innovations, inventions and success we seek.

CHANGE IS A MIRAGE.

Things will get better, there is light at the end of the tunnel are common phrases we meditate on and compel ourselves to believe. We say change is inevitable so we try to embrace it. We say the world is evolving but we also don't realise that our needs, problems and tribulations also re-brand itself.
Things change everyday whether we acknowledge it or not but most times we obfuscate the unpleasant changes we experience. Everyday we are are faced with new threats to our existence, peace and cohabitation as human beings and members of the food chain. As we overcome a problem, another one arises with a stronger complexity than the last which brings us to a crossroad to decide if we even won the previous battle we claimed victory over
Change seem like a mirage because we have failed to realise that our challenges are actually the same but comes in different forms and intensity. All the problems of the world stem from two evils trees intolerance and greed but the branches appeal to us in different ways depending on our values, beliefs and knowledge of the trees.
Our survival instinct and desire to have total control over everything around us is a blessing and our Pandora box. It is a blessing when we selflessly seek to make life better, worth living for everyone and not just ourselves. The blessings comes as inventions, innovations and ideas that has made the world a developed global community. Destruction arises when our survival instincts pushes us beyond reason to think of the balance between advantages and disadvantages of our quest and this in evident when we start wars, promote genocide, racial discrimination and ignore the ones that seek our help because we need to show them that we are capable of dominance over them.
Our greed and intolerance has earned us all the wars, economic recession, social unrest, corrupt and incompetent politicians as well as some of the physical ailments we experience. People would rather vote a delinquent and incompetent politician  that shares the same ethnicity ,people would rather maim and assault those who share diverse opinion from theirs, people would rather destroy infrastructure meant for others because they feel cheated, people would rather use poisonous substance to make product for our consumption because it earns them more money and everything in life is a choice after all.
The world will continue to progress and develop but our problems can never leave but rear up it's ugly head in a different form. We have to be ready and prepare the younger generation to be ready to procure efficient solution to their problems. When we think we have solved a problem, we should always have a back-up plan to address a relapse because the world revolves around communication and adaptation skills.
Tolerance, empathy and commitment seem like an easy solution but it is very difficult to apply to our daily lives because of the challenges, development and emotional conflicts we face daily . Not all of us have learnt control over our conflicting emotions and the approach to adapt & respond to situation is what makes us unique and diverse. Our culture, geographical location and experience may be blamed for some of our actions.
Change is actually possible but keeping up with its evolution is the hard part . Once we defeat a problem, we go back to our old ways rather than adjust our lifestyles to keep  up with the new milestone of achievement that we have overcome. Change seem like a mirage because we only acknowledge it but don't practice and live with it
Humans are gregarious beings and our survival depends on each other but we ignore this. Our diversity is what creates innovations, inventions and development occurs. We see things differently and that difference may appeal to others because that is the answer to one of their problems.
We are not robots manufactured from the same intelligence chip so we should not expect and enforce others to be and live like us. We should learn to adapt to changes around us, give others chances to share their ideas be wiling to integrate their ideas with ours for better results. Death is certain for everyone regardless of who we are and the world will continue to advance in development, vices because of the new challenges and consequence of our actions.
Change will become feasible when we start to accept the real situation of things and we are ready to embrace diversity. Embracing diversity should not be an excuse to embrace social vices but we should work together to make life better for everyone and generations unborn regardless of color, geographical location, language and social status.
Knowing we all have a role to play in world peace is the driving force that will earn us development as well as ability to keep up with changes and procure solutions to challenges is what we need.
