THE LION REWRITES THE TALE.

We glorify the hunter whom we perceive as courageous and wise for his bravery in hunting large and small animals. We admire his confidence in bringing down the fiercest of predators with his tools, craft and disguise. We fail to realize that we are like animals in their wild habitat, the government and other powerful bodies are our hunters with all tools, agenda and strategy.
The tale of bravery has glorified the hunter, making the lion seem like a cruel abomination that must be eliminated on sight. What differentiates the hunter from the untamed beast? Is cohabitation negotiable? Are we Just in the same peak level of food chain, so eliminating and looting the competition is the only way to retain our top spot?
The hunter may be driven by ambition, desire for safety for his own kind or family obligations. He seeks out the lion in its habitat, lure it with juicy promises, ambush it and strike it down either in multitude or on its own. When the lion is no longer there to defend it's family, the cubs are stolen under the guise of protection to be groomed to the hunter's preference and needs. The lioness is whisked away by any means which may include violence, coercion and ambush to forcefully reproduce by the male chosen by the hunter and new handlers in exchange for food and life. This is a regular routine for the hunter and the beginning of the end for the lion.
Slavery is re-branded and introduced to the remaining members of the pride of lions. Regulations are set on the habitat for the lions as there may not be any visible shackles but they are confined to an area where they must not wander from else they become threats that must be annihilated on sight because they are savages that don't fit into our society. The lion has all the land with all the resources but is still at the mercy of the hunter for it's needs.
Slowly the lion loses its pride, it's food is prepared to the hunter's and his people's preference. With time the lion learns that it's roar of discomfort only means more misery for it. The lion finally learns to be quiet and accept all that comes because the scale of justice is permanently tilted to the hunter's side.
Fighting for the rights of the lion brands the activists as irrational, nuisance and ignorant. When the lion kills or fight in defense to its life and family it is cruel but when the society does so, it's self defense and community service. The lion is tired and wants to go back to its habitat of peace and equity but it's too late because the hunter and his people have stolen from his land and it's resources and will only allocate a portion depending on the lion's ability and value.

The hunter and his people have the autonomy of power, media, machines, law and manpower to himself and his people. The other animals are integrated into the society through stereotyping of duties and repackaged slavery. The animal who dares to cross the line of duty allocated to him gets punished, forcibly returned to its origin and branded as vile.
The lion writes to inform the hunter and the world that they are both predators who share the same instincts and goal. They are both struggling to fulfill all their Marslow's heriachy of needs and have obligations to their pride and society respectively. The hunter makes the rule for the hunt with no consideration for the lion's opinion and survival. The rules that only comes to play when the lion is involved but all is fair when the hunter does the same.
The humiliation of the lion and the animal kingdom has become the entertainment for the hunter and his people. The lion that does as the society pleases becomes the jewel of their eyes until it tries to be it's true self which equals death and punishment . The other animals that have learnt to live and do the tricks the society expects for a measly treat yet taunts the lion from their enslavement.
The lion writes to refute the lies the hunter told to glorify himself but it may be too late. The hunter's story has become the basis on which regulations are set for the society. The hunter's story is the guidelines for aspiring hunters and the manual to groom segregated cubs and other animals. The lion has become a fugitive in his own habitat, he has become a test subject whose life is a social experiment without his knowledge. His food, drink and resources are poisened so the hunter can use him to conduct experiment and research under the guise of helping and feeding him.
Tear out the history book that are lies and exaggerations of the cunning hunter and his likes. Gather the lions, hunters and other animals and rewrite the true tale of the lion's fall, only then can some balance be restored. If the hunter can't return the stolen land they have claimed ownership of, they should give the animal kingdom an equal chance and partnership of leadership and opportunities for survival.
The diversity of our appearance, food, topography, communication means and way of life is a blessing we should learn to utilise for peace and development. The hunter should drop his weapon and submit himself to the same law and penalties he has created.
The lion's tale is slowly gaining the spotlight but only few believe and support him. The society and animal kingdom claim ignorance of the lion's misery and show no empathy. The generational handling of tales have instilled a strong sense of fear, hatred and stereotype to the lion's. Only if the other animals and society realise that they are same or even worse in deeds than the savage lion they despise.
The absence of shackles is not a sign of freedom. For as long as the same rules and penalties are not applicable to the hunter and lion, is the time that this meaningless chaos is going to continue. Embrace the diversity around you and you will realise that everyone has a role to play in our development, peace and achievements. There is enough kindness, empathy, love and tolerance to go round if we open our minds and let go of our greed.
