The saying that "what goes around comes around " and "You shall reap what you sow" have become a theory to people with doubts attached to it. Can we blame those who feel this way? The answer is a "Yes" and a " No". Yes because the truth can't be hidden forever and our decisions will eventually catch up with us with consequences whether good or bad. No because before the truth behind the mysteries and lies unravel, damage may have been done to lives and properties of those around.
The world has become so hostile that everyone is struggling hard to be feared and seen as a formidable force to be respected whether right or wrong. When people hurt us physically or on any other level, we seek their suffering or "payback" as we may term it. Some of us so won't stop until we get the person wrecked emotionally, physically and in any other way we can.
The insatiable desire to "punish" people has eaten deep into the flesh that we may go as far as false accusations, rumors, sabotages just to destroy the source of happiness of the one who hurt us or refuse to play by our rules.
We still have a few of us who still patiently wait for law and order to take its course with no threat from us to our assailant. Some of us have learnt the virtue of patience that the truth can never be hidden forever even if it may get obscured temporarily. While some of us learn to forgive and forget hoping that someday, the person will realise his mistake, be remorseful and become a better person.
Whatever category we fall in, we all still have a flaw to fix because we need to acquire the skill to balance and take charge of situation with appropriate approach. False accusations may wreck the person we seek to hurt in return but it may never make them feel remorse for their alleged action to us.
Waiting for the laws of the Land may not be emotionally gratifying if we don't get an apology from the person . Waiting for the person to change and realise his mistake can equally be dangerous.
We need to learn to handle situations appropriately. When someone offends us with no damage to lives and property, we can confront them and let them realise we are not pleased with their actions and seek an apology.
When a damage is done to life & property and violates laws, we may need to talk to the person about the damage and seek reformation and repair of damage done to the property but damage to life will require law enforcement with honest and accurate statement of what transpired between us and the "offender".
Making up rumors, blasphemies just to implicate a person legally, socially, emotionally will be of no benefit to us and human development.
No matter what our belief or faith or theories are, as far as the earth still rotates in its own orbit and around the sun, whatever goes around will come around and be revealed eventually.
Let's do things whilst acknowledging that we are all connected to each other in one way or the other.
